AVONSIGE RUNWAY FOR A CAUSE is a put together fashion show for orphans and underprivileged kids to walk the runway stage displaying their new clothes from AVONSIGE just like it is done on the professional stage with a set audience. The event is organized every December with a fully packed program line up of eating, drinking, dancing, singing , games and other fun competitions.
Making of Avant Garde collections has been our primary focus at AVONSIGE as well as releasing ready to wear collections which are always launched through fashion shows. Following our love for humanity and compassion for underprivileged children in our society. Every OFFICIAL avante garde collection that is and will be produced by AVONSIGE after a yearly run on the fashion stage will be recreated into Christmas clothes which will be donated to orphans and underprivileged children in selected deprived communities in Ghana through our charity foundation “AVONSIGE RUNWAY FOR A CAUSE”. We however DO NOT sell our pieces off runway shows as we should but rather created new pieces on order basis for clients.
Aside this, Team AVONSIGE also make public solicit of funds to buy school uniform materials of which we engage the services of seamstresses within that same underprivileged community to sew the school uniforms for the kids, which is a win win situation for us, as we provide job opportunities for these women, and also donate these uniforms to underprivileged kids in our local communities who cannot afford school uniforms.
AVONSIGE RUNWAY FOR A CAUSE by AVONSIGE 2019 was our maiden edition.
Our drive for this project is to put to use clothes from our Avant Garde collection by re-making or re-creating them into fashionable kids clothing.
We hope to bring out a sense of belongingness and unearth a great deal of creativity among the youth, orphaned children and the needy as well as to promote the benefits of education to these underprivileged children . To ignite the love for creativity among children and the youth as well as to foster harmony and togetherness among orphans and the needy.
